1953 Coronation Trophy
Duguid wrote 'Mr S Mactaggart, Invergordon presents the Ross W F A Coronation Trophy to D Ross, captain of Dingwall Thistle who beat Alness 3-2 in the final at Invergordon'.
Sam Mactaggart was bank manager, we think, in the old Commercial Bank of Scotland, unless you know different!

Thanks for the information. Do you happen to know if this photograph was actually taken in 1953 or later? Noreen

Dingwall Thistle won this cup for the first three seasons of its existence, so the picture could have been taken in 1953, 54 or 55.
